It is recommended to limit caffeine intake, as well as alcohol, and sorbitol, which is a sweetener, as these can bring on symptoms. In addition, keep gas-producing foods such as cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, and brussel sprouts to a minimum. Also, watching out for spicy foods like things with pepper, white sugar, strong teas, coffees, and alcohol, spices, pizza, and anything that might spark a flare-up should be kept to a minimum. In addition, keeping foods like beans, onions, chives, and any drinks that have carbonation at a minimum as they can also cause gas. During an attack, a fresh fruit juice diet for five days is recommended, although citrus juices are to be avoided. The best juices are Papaya juice or carrot juice.
